League and Slashers - Tommy McQueston

Tommy McQueston plays a hard driving Em Irish reel - "The League and Slashers" - or maybe it's "The Legan Slashers". The title appears in 19th century published sources as "League and Slashers" (Ryans and others) An Irish Manuscript source says "Legan". Legan is a town in Longford, Ireland. There seems to have been a sports team there called "The Legan Slashers" in the 1930s.

In the video linked below we get to see Tommy in action in 1989 - at age 87! He's playing the tune he called "The Queen's Wedding" (aka "Pride of The Ball")
