Angus Campbell


A reel that has long been a staple of the Ontario repertoire. It was written by Scottish composer and fiddle virtuoso J. Scott Skinner (1842-1927) Skinner also recycled this melody into his strathspey "The Laird of Drumblair".

There's a link to a performance below in which Graham Townsend swaps his fiddle for a mandolin. There's also a good version by Manitoba fiddler Patti Kusturok.
