The Canadian Jubilee Singers were a professional vocal group pattered after the famous Fisk Jubilee Singers from Fisk University in Tennessee. They sang the same brand of African-American spirituals, but were mostly from the Hamilton area.
William and Sadie Carter organized the group in 1878 .They toured Great Britain for five years and United States for three years. As best I can tell, the group carried on until about 1907
They published a book of their hits from which there are a few samples here. This book is available in its entirety at the Internet Archive. There is a link below. The typesetting and general format are almost identical to that of an 1890s book I have of the Original Jubilee Singers.
