Here's a nice little musical "Rosetta Stone". This is a list of all the tunes to be found in an influential American Tune Collection of 1867 called "Howe's 1000 Jigs, Reels, Contradances, Strathspeys, Breakdowns, Irish Dances, Scotch Dances and More...". Published by Elias Howe, it evolved into "Ryan's Mammoth Collection" (1880s) and eventually into "Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes". Many of the tunes listed can be found in these subsequent books and in others like The Kerr's series of "Merry Melodies for The Violin", Vol. 1 - 4. Although this is an American book (Boston MA) I think it's safe to say that these tunes wouldn't have raised any eyebrows in mid-19th century Ontario. This book can still be purchased in a facsimile edition put out by Patrick Sky. The list can be downloaded as a PDF below.
