Galt Merchants' Picnic Band 1912


The Galt Merchants' Picnic Band of 1912 - A "Calathumpian" Band put together for a community event, presumably a picnic. Galt is the southern part of present-day Cambridge.

Robert Turnbull Aitkin is the lone piper in the midst of this mad mob. The photograph was provided by his grandchildren George Aitkin and Eleanor Matte.
