"Arkansas Traveller" (without calls) played by George Wade and his Cornhuskers -1931.
A dance call from "George Wade's Square Dance Calls Only" 1936 edition. It was first published in 1933. George Wade was the leader and caller of George Wade and His Cornhuskers, an old-time/swing fusion band that was active in Ontario from the 1930s to the 1950s. They are said to have been the inspiration for Don Messer and his Islanders. The legendary Jean Carignan was "kid fiddler" with the group for a while. There were a number of fiddle tune and square dance books published under their name. The tune is of course an American import from the early 19th century.

The Cornhuskers from the 1933 edition of the book.
