This may in fact be a tune from the Maritimes, but it's been a standard in Ontario for decades, so we'll let it in here. Its composition has been credited to both Don Messer and Ned Landry, but it seems like it might be older than that. It's played all over North America in a variety of folk fiddling styles. I once heard and Estonian fiddler take a crack at it! A fiddler friend once told me people liked it for competitions since it uses all the strings on the fiddle.
