Posters from two "Garden Parties" in Hornby. Ontario in the 1960s. Hornby is near Milton - just off the 401. Garden Party variety shows were important summertime social events in rural communities across Ontario from the late 19th century until the late 20th. The 1968 event here would have been right at the tail-end of the tradition.
