The Buffalo Whore
Source: Ivan Walton Collection
Composer: Trad.
Region: South West
Circa: 1849-1900

The Buffalo Whore sung by Ian Bell (The final chorus of "Buffalo Gals" was recorded in a seedy old bar in Buffalo - really)
A cautionary tale with words from Norman "Beachie" McIvor - Goderich, Ontario. Collected by Ivan Walton in 1934. It's a lot like the song "The Winnipeg Whore" that was recorded by Oscar Brand in the 1960s. I used his tune for it.

Buffalo about 1890.
