Audio 1 - Ian Bell & Anne Lederman sing "How We Got Up To The Woods" from the Muddy York lp "Scatter The Ashes" Audio 2 - O.J. Abbot's original recording.
A song about a drunken buggy ride to a lumber camp somewhere in the Ottawa Valley. Liquor was forbidden in camp so some loggers took in as much "internally" as they could. The transcription is more or less as it was sung by O.J. Abbott. It was collected from him by Edith Fowke in about 1960.
