These scraps of paper were with a group of old Quadrille Band books from Harriston. I got them at a flea market in Mar, ON. They fell out of whatever book it was in so I really don't know their provenance. The longer one was probably written in the 1950s at the earliest, since some of it was written with a ball point pen. (they didn't become common until about then) The numbers correspond with pages in the first, and subsequent editions of Cole's "One Thousand Fiddle Tunes" which came out in 1940. This book has kept a very old-fashioned repertoire alive into the present day, since it is a wholesale reprint of an earlier book, "Ryan's Mammoth Collection - 1050 Reels and Jigs". I believe Cole's actually has more than 1000 tunes in it, but the publisher ignored them for the sake of a catchier title! The list in the jpeg at the bottom is from the same person. I can't figure a source out from the page numbers. It's hard to imagine one book with that mix of tunes in it. Judging from the "newer" songs included, I'd say it was from the 1940s or 50s.
