The Danforth Radio Folks were a folk group somewhat in the "Weavers" line. They had a radio show on the CBC in Toronto. The show was sponsored by an electronics store called "Danforth Radio" - hence the name. Merrick Jarrett (1924-2005 front left) went on to be a solo folksinger, educator and champion of Canadian traditional songs. He was a friend of both Edith Fowke and Burl Ives. He taught a course for many years at the Waterloo called "Traditional Folk Music in the Anglo-Saxon Tradition".
