Both parts of this tune have a lot in common with "Fred Wilson's Hornpipe" or "Fred Wilson's Clog" which
appears in countless 19th and 20th century publications (often in the key of F) and which is still considered a
standard in the Canadian fiddle repertoire. Fred Wilson (b. 1827) was an American clog dancer who is said to
have introduced that dance style to the minstrel stage in the 1840s.
