"Mason's Apron" Played by George Wade and His Cornhuskers. Circa 1936
This famous Scottish tune was probably half a century old before it ever got to Ontario. It's been a staple of the repertoire here ever since. There are a million ways to play it. Just for fun I've given you two versions by the Cornhuskers from the 1930s, in print and on a recording...and even they're not the same! There's also a YouTube link to a more recent interpretation by Shane Cook.
