The "Off To Charlestown Quadrilles" was a set of five dance tunes arranged by British composer Charles D'Albert in about 1860. The melodies were all existing popular tunes from the British Isles and The United States.
None are identified by name in the manuscript "Off To Charleston" is an American song and dance tune that comes out of the early minstrel repertoire. It appears in mid 19th century banjo tutors and can also be found in "Kerr's Merry Melodies for the Violin" - Glasgow Circa 1885.
